Napanee’s Cal Uens will have the chance to continue his OHL career closer to home following a trade deadline deal that sends him from Owen Sound to Kingston.

Uens heads to the Frontenacs in exchange for Jackson Stewart, Izayah Luddington and a third round pick.

“We are excited to add Cal to our team”, Kingston Frontenacs GM Kory Cooper said in a release on the team’s website. “He is a talented defenceman that plays with a lot of grit. He also brings offensive upside to the d-core. With Cal, we are able to add a local player to our lineup that fills a need on the roster and fits the identity of our team.”

Uens was drafted by the Owen Sound Attack with the 42nd pick overall in 2021 and has five goals and 21 assists in 103 career OHL games.
