Napanee’s Britt Benn is among the finalists for Rugby Canada’s Women’s Sevens Player of the Year, as voted by fans.
Voting can be done at www.surveymonkey.com/r/RMBQMFF, once per day on multiple devices.
Benn is set to make her season debut this weekend in Dubai for the start of the World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series, which runs Dec. 5-7. The following weekend Canada will travel to Cape Town, South Africa for the next series, Dec. 13-15.
On Dec. 19 Benn will be back in Napanee to serve as the guest speaker at the Napanee Lion’s Club’s meeting, which gets underway at 5:30 p.m. She’ll speak about her life in rugby while handing out signed photos.
Earlier this summer the 2016 bronze medalist helped her team qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games, which will take place in Tokyo.
