Atom BBs romp Loyalist, Tweed to stay unbeaten

The Napanee Atom BB Stars are sporting a league record of 17-0-1 after 18 league games.

Their most recent conquests were wins over Loyalist, 10-1 and Tweed, 12-2. Facing Tweed at the SPC, Matthew Airhart led the scoring with a hat trick while Mason Goodfellow had a pair.

  •  The Joyce’s Meats & Deli Atom AEs split their weekend games with a 5-3 win in Madoc over Centre Hastings and a narrow 2-1 loss to Brighton.  Jacob Cox got the lone goal.
  •  The Napanee Novice AFW Construction Stars split road games with a narrow 2-1 loss to the Frontenac Flyers and a solid 4-2 win over Prince Edward County in Wellington. Sunday, at the SPC, they won 7-1 over Brighton. In the home game Cameron Arthur scored twice while Cooper Seaton and Colton Lockridge also made the score sheet.
  •  The Peewee BB Stars defeated Douro 13-3 in another strong showing to maintain their perfect league record. Goal scorers were Carter McKee (four), Zared Haller (three), Spencer Cranley (three), Luc Amat, Cal Uens and Jake Wood.
  • In Bantam the BBs travelled to Gananoque to win 5-1.  They also shut out Brighton 4-0 so their undefeated streak now stands at five. The Brighton match was scoreless until the third but John Hearns, Brian Christie, Tyler Brady and Andy Ruttan all found the back of the net.
  •  The Napanee Cab Midget Stars also earned a shutout, a 3-0 win over the Frontenac Flyers in Picadilly, but fell 3-1 in Douro. Sunday, the boys dominated the Campbellford AE squad 14-0. Kiel Benton led the way with two goals and two assists, while Nate Brant chipped in a pair as did Cal Duchene.  Connor Milroy earned the shutout.

Napanee Crunch

  •  The Napanee Novice BB Crunch battled the Oshawa Lady Generals to a scoreless tie through two periods before allowing four goals in the third to fall 4-0. On Sunday they lost 4-2 to Cold Creek. Yakowennare Brant played great in goal, facing a barrage of shots. Kailee Jackson and Lexa Lazarakos each scored.
  •  The Atom B Crunch picked up a win and a tie in their weekend action. On Saturday they blanked the West Northumberland Wild 1-0. Emma Goodsell-Labarge earned the shutout. On Sunday they tied the Ennismore Eagles 0-0.
  • The Doyle’s Windows and Sunrooms Midget BB Crunch beat the Wolves 4-1.
  •  The Peewee BBs were all over the Peterborough Ice Kats, winning 6-1 on Saturday.

Meena Peterson got the win. Offense was provided by Lila Pringle with two, Mackenzie Tyner with two and singles from Kaydin Brooks and Jaidyn Manion. Assists went to Claire McConnell, Sydney Woodcock, Tyner, Pringle, Anna Hagerman and Megan Morsette.

On Sunday they beat the Whitby Wolves 3-1. Keyra Herrington got the win with a goal from Morsette and Kaylee Brooks with two.

Kristen Sutton, Tyner and Kaydin Brooks chipped in with assists.

  •  The Peewee B Crunch had a productive weekend, picking up three wins.

They started the weekend with a 3-2 win over the Scarborough Sharks. They followed that with a 3-1 win over the Blades.

Jocelyn Masters had five goals and an assist while Nicole Gulineau had a goal.

They closed out the weekend with a 3-0 win over the Durham West Lightning.

Molly Dafoe with the natural hat trick with assists from Annika Moore, Nicole Geenevasen, Gulineau and Hayley Maracle.

Meredith Peters was the winning goalie for all three games.

  •  The Bantam B Crunch played to their fourth straight tie on Thursday, battling the Cold Creek Comets to a 2-2 tie.

On Saturday they ended that streak with a 4-2 win over the Scarborough Sharks followed by a 2-1 win over the North Durham Blades. On Sunday it was another draw, tying the Peterborough Ice Kats 2-2.
