Napanee’s Brandan Hagerman picked up an RBI single to right in the fourth inning to help pace Team Canada’s 7-0 victory over Guatemala last night at the WBSC Junior Men’s Softball World Championship, which is being held in Prince Albert, Sask.
Hagerman, who is serving as the team’s catcher and captain, would also come around to score in the inning.
Team Canada will play New Zealand tonight at 8 p.m. The Canadians, which has both Hagerman and Riley Manion of the Napanee Express on their roster, are off to a 3-0 start.
