NDCC’s Annual Highland Lassie, convened by Linda Yorke with outgoing director, Heather Ramshaw as drawmaster, had a full slate of 16 teams from Napanee, Royal Kingston CC, Tam Heather, Dixie, and Donalda CC.

The winning team of Linda Lott, Gwen Mitchell, Mary Skeggs and Pam Powers from RKCC thanked all the kitchen staff while runner up Tammy Scott-Zelt from RKCC thanked the bar and ice staff.  Also making it to the prize table were the teams of Tish Pearce from Dixie CC, Judy Russell from RKCC, Adell Hay – Napanee, Janie Ryan – Napanee. The day started with morning snacks followed by a delicious lunch and ended with a mouth watering dessert table. Ramshaw thanked her long time sponsor Marj Pearce (presented by daughter Trish Pearce) for her many, many years of supporting this bonspiel and Yorke thanked the ladies that donated raffle prizes and all the many, many volunteers it takes to ensure any bonspiels’ success.

The sign up sheet is posted for the closing Martin & Walters on March 30 and fills quickly so sign up soon. This event is open to members and nonmembers alike to end another terrific season with some fun filled curling games. Some of our members love to bring their families as it is the one time that the kids get to curl with their parents. NDCC’s general meeting is set for March 31 at 1 p.m.

Shelley Alkenbrack hopes club members are all collecting items for the ‘Elegant Junk Sale’ set for April 27.
