On July 5 at approximately 4 p.m. officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report of an erratic driver travelling eastbound on Hwy 401 east of Marysville exit.
Police located the vehicle exiting on Wilton Road and were able to complete a traffic stop a short time later on Prince Charles Drive, Kingston. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Ottawa earlier in the day.
As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP have charged a 16 year old youth of Ottawa with:
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000
- Operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Youth Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Sept. 28.
