WWE, ECW stars to appear at fundraising wrestling event on TMT this Saturday

Chinlock Wrestling, a Kingston-based professional wrestling promotion that has been raising money for charitable causes in the area since 2014, will host its first event in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory on Saturday, Sept. 16, when it hosts Chinlock For Charity, a legends of wrestling meet and greet and live pro wrestling show.

The events will take place at Cigar Chief, 303 Airport Rd., and the Karonhiakta’kie Sports Complex’s Lacrosse Box at 1935 York Rd., in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.

The legends of wrestling event features pro wrestling legends Mickie James and Tatanka, who are both Indigenous, plus WWE Hall of Famer Brutus The Barber Beefcake, former WWE referee Earl Hebner, ECW legend Tommy Dreamer, former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis and former WWE superstar Kon.

The wrestling show features Dreamer facing Kon in an Extreme Rulz Match, officiated by Hebner, Aldis taking on independent wrestling star The Natural Nick Sullivan, all three Chinlock Wrestling titles being defended, plus the return of the Chinlock Rumble, an over-the-top-rope battle royal featuring 15 superstars, plus two surprise entrants.

The meet and greet takes place at Cigar Chief, beginning at 9 a.m., while the wrestling show happens at the lacrosse box, with a 3 p.m. start time.
