Woman charged with possession of weapon following disturbance on Bridge and Richmond Park

Officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP responded to report of a disturbance at the corner of Bridge Street and Richmond Park Boulevard yesterday just after 3 p.m. 

At the scene an individual was spotted waving a weapon and acting in a dangerous manner in and around the general public

As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP have arrested and charged a 39-year-old woman of South Frontenac with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The accused was released on a promise to appear with conditions and is scheduled to appear on June 25 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee.  

-On May 23 at approximately 5:00 a.m. officers the Ontario Provincial Police East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) along with the Tactics and Rescue Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Marysville Road in Tyendinaga Township.

As a result of the search warrant police have seized a modified firearm, ammunition, Canadian currency in excess of $3,000, a quantity of powder cocaine, drug scales and brass knuckles.

As a result of the investigation police arrested and charged a 29-year-old male and 31-year-old woman, both of Tyendinaga, with possession of proceeds obtained by crime, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm and careless storage of a firearm. Both were also charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.  

-Officers with the L&A OPP were called to a reported disturbance at a business in Napanee at about 2:30 a.m. on Monday morning. Three parties were arrested while two have been charged after an investigation.

A 39-year-old woman of Kingston has been charged with failure to comply with a recognizance, unauthorized possession of a weapon and occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was prohibited or restricted weapon.

A 40-year-old male of Kingston was charged with five counts of failure to comply with probation order, unauthorized possession of a weapon, occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was prohibited or restricted weapon, possession of firearm and failure to comply with a recognizance.

-Officers with L&A OPP responded to a report of a collision just before midnight on May 25 on Hwy 401 in Odessa.

After an investigation officers arrested a 37-year-old male from Loyalist Township. The accused has been charged with failure to comply with a probation order, obstructing a peace officer, operation while prohibited, identity theft – possession of identity information for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a credit card – two counts, possession of credit card data, possession of an instrument for use in copying credit cards, possession of methamphetamine and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
