One of Country music’s most famous family acts, The Wilkinsons, will be headlining the County Country Music Jamboree, Aug. 26-29 at the Napanee Fairgrounds.

Best known for their smash hits 26 Cents, Fly (The Angel Song) and Boy Oh Boy, The Wilkinsons return for a rare performance as a family unit.

They won’t be the only musical family to take the stage that weekend though as Napanee’s own Shylah Hart and her mom Lisa Hart will also perform. They are among a packed lineup that includes Naomi Bristow, Dean James, Bob Gill, The Reasons, Steve Piticco, Heartland Country, Scotty Garthshore and more.

Napanee’s Shylah Hart’s debut single, Atypical, is out now.

Now in its eight year, the County Country Music Jamboree is usually held in Cherry Valley, Prince Edward County. When COVID-19 looked like it would once again cancel the event, the field that normally hosts the event was tilled for crops. When things began to re-open, Jamboree organizer Greg Verner was tasked with finding a new home for the festival. Fortunately he had worked with the Lennox and Addington Agricultural Society in previous years for the Napanee Country Jamboree and through the cooperation of the society and the Town of Greater Napanee, he was able to secure the Fairgrounds.

“We’ve got so much of a lineup and we’ve also got local Shylah Hart who is making her debut after releasing her original EP recently and her mom Lisa Hart is on the stage as well,” said Verner. “We have always had a good time in Napanee and of course with the Ontario regulations for safe re-opening things are a little bit different but we’ve got lots of space there so people can social distance.”
