Whalen places third at Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship

Napanee’s Josh Whalen fired a final round of 69 to finish third overall at the Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship, finishing five under with a total of 275 for the four day tournament, three back of the U.S.’s Zach Bauchou who took the top spot at eight under. Whalen began the final round in fifth and climbed two spots by shooting one under for the day. Bath’s Austin James shot 74 on the day to finish at +7 on the tournament, giving him a share for 37th overall. The tournament was held at the Toronto Golf Club.
