The D&D Electocraft U18 Napanee Stars reached the top the Eastern Ontario standings, at least temporarily, as they earned three wins this week.  Saturday, they overpowered Bancroft 9-2.  Goal scorers were Caleb South (two), Jayden Holden (two), Ethan Couri, Dylan Kemp, Zered Haller, Owen Kish, and Kohen Cutler. Earlier, a strong offense got them by Frontenac 6-0, thanks to Carter Slaven’s hat trick, and goals by Caleb South, Holden, and Cutler. They also doubled up on Brighton 6-3 on the strength of two tallies by each of Slaven, Holden, and Cutler.

-Napanee’s U15 Stars are also at the top of their division with a perfect record after two weekend wins. Friday in Tweed they gained a 6-0 blowout. Callen Wilson continued his strong play with a pair of counters. Others to make the score sheet were Wes Davey, Quinn McConnell, Hudson Conger, and Brock Alaver. Saturday, at home to Campbellford, they were solid 8-2 winners. Alaver got the first of two 36 seconds in, and Wilson had three. Other scorers were Colton Lockridge and Jacob Lyons (two).

-The Goodyear U13B Stars were also busy, winning a mismatch road game with Ennismore D’s 7-0 on Saturday.  Grayson Rowe scored the winner in the first period, and Maddux Hartwick, Caleb Baker, and Nathan Benn continued the onslaught. Chase Castignier added a natural hat trick to end the contest. Sunday, the Stars rolled over Centre Hastings 5-1. Lucas Coles bagged a marker 46 seconds in, and Tripp Deacon would net the winner in the second. Others went to Walker Presley and Castignier (two).

-The Cpk Interior Products U11B Stars lost 9-1 in Campbellford- Luke Dunn had the lone marker for Napanee. Sunday at home to Prince Edward County, they found themselves down by three in the third.  Hunter provided their offense with a pair of goals, but it was insufficient to gain a point.

-The U11D Stars lost in Gananoque 8-1. Sawyer Fenwick chipped in with their single tally.  Sunday in Ennismore facing the first place club,  they were no match for their hosts.

After Christmas, schedules for the balance of the season will be struck for U11’s and U13’s- top teams in the standings will face other top teams, mid squads will face each other, and lower ranked centres will be scheduled together.
