The D&D Electrocraft U18 Napanee Stars took first place at the Belleville Mid-Season Tilt Tournament in Belleville, going a perfect 6-0.
Napanee played tightly contested games throughout the tournament, defeating Belleville 2-1, Gloucester-Orleans 3-0, North Durham 3-1 and Aylmer 2-1 in the round robin.
The semi-finals saw their biggest offensive outburst, topping the Gloucester-Orleans Blues 5-1.
In the finals they had just enough offense and perfect defense to claim the title, blanking the Kemptville Royals 1-0.
Carter Slaven led the team with four goals while Ben Kerr had Owen Kish each had a pair, Kohen Cutler and Blake Wood scored three times while Cal Wilson and Brock Boutilier each added a goal.
-The U11 B 2 Napanee Stars split their two weekend games, losing in Douro 5-2 and then winning 3-2 on home ice against Lakefield.
Goals were scored by Archie Casselman, Nickson Wemp (three) and Reid O’hoski.
– The Stone Mills Construction U11 Napanee Stars cruised to a 13-0 win over Ennismore.
Goals came from Easton Kennedy (three), Colton Celestini (two), Cale O’Neil (five), Max Girouard, Harrison Van Der Heyden Sharpe and Paul Thompson.
Jace Powell earned the shutout.
-The Midas U13 Napanee Stars fell 4-2 to Frontenac, 6-2 to Gananoque, doubled up Bancroft 6-3 and lost to Centre Hastings by a score of 5-2.
Goals were scored by Hunter Armstrong (two), Jackson Pringle, Callum Gibbons, Zakary Martin, Sullivan Elliott, Ian-Ford Fairbairn, Connor Howse (two), Hunter O’hoski, Ira Bellegarde and Grayson Deacon.
-The Fobert Country Air U15 Napanee Stars fell 4-2 Stirling.
Keegan York and Jacob Lyons each notched a goal for Napanee.
