The Napanee U15 Stars won the Oakville Winter Classic, handling Parry Sound 5-1 to show what they were made of, after losing to the same squad 6-2 a day earlier.

Kohen Cutler put then on the board as the teams traded goals in the first frame. In the second, Callen Wilson combined with Wyatt Albright and Ben Kerr for the winner, and Kerr would add another. In the third, Will Babcock and Brock Boutilier would ensure the win. To get to the final, the boys shutout Orillia 5-0 and defeated Ajax-Pickering 4-1. Sunday morning they advanced with a 5-1 win over Peterborough. Callen Wilson got the winner early on in the Orillia shut-out, Ben Kerr tallied the winner in Game 2, and Wesley Davey clinched the Peterborough victory with a goal. Carter Cork and Jackson Godfrey shared goal tending duties effectively.

The U13 squad were solid 3-1 winners in Campbellford on Friday. Jacob Lyons, Bryson Thompson, and Ryder Bruce did the damage in the win, while Jonathan Hough performed well in net.

In Loyalist, on Sunday, it took a buzzer beater by Liam Mulder to salvage a tie at 3-3. Mulder had scored earlier in the contest, and Ben Babcock made it close before Mulder saved the day with one second left in the contest.

The U18 Stars never trailed in their 11-4 rout of Campbellford. The scorefest included goals by Jayden Holden (two), Owen Kish (two), Luc Amat (two), Zered Haller (two), Ty Kemp, Carter Slaven, and Jack Osborne. Goalie Aiden Vallier took credit for the win.

On Sunday in Brighton, the boys continued their winning ways with a 3-1 win to move into a first place tie with Douro in the Eastern Ontario League.

The U11 Stars were solid in their match with Lakefield at the Strathcona Paper Centre on Sunday. It was a one goal game until midway in the third, but Lakefield escaped with a 3-0 victory.
