The Napanee U15 Express ran the table in round robin play at the U15 Canadian Boys’ Championship in Wilmot, going 7-0.

In Game 6 versus the Newfoundland Selects, the Express, with Logan Willis on the mound, got him a lead in the top of the first to work with, scoring five times in their first at-bat. Deke Osterhout led off with a single followed by a Dylan Kemp double, a Bryce Rebertz single, an Owen Kish single and a Jacob Moore double.  With five runs in his pocket, Willis gave up only one run in five innings of work facing 21 batters. In the fourth inning, Willis helped himself with an RBI double scoring Brody Neilissen who was on base with a lead off single. Willis would come around to score on a Dylan Kemp double. The Express would go on to win 10-1.

In their final game vs the host Wilmot Thunder, the Express went down 1-0 in the top of the first but there was no panic as they came out swinging in the bottom half. After a walk by Matthew Airhart and a Kemp single, Rebertz stepped to the plate to hit a three-run bomb to put the Express up 3-1. In the third, the Express came out and added another four with singles from Kemp, Rebertz, Finn and Moore. Finn Barton kept the Thunder to three runs and in the sixth, were able to score two more to mercy the Thunder with a single from Kemp who was brought around by Rebertz who was then cashed in by Kish to force the mercy rule (10-3).

The Express finish round Robin play 7-0 and will face the Thunder in the one seed versus the two seed game at 7:30 p.m., with the winner advancing to the gold medal game on Sunday.
