U15 and U13 BB Crunch teams advance to Ontario finals

The Napanee U13 BB Crunch blanked the Mississauga Hurricanes 3-0 at the SPC tonight to advance to the Best-of-the-Best this weekend in Toronto.

Kailee Jacklin opened the scoring for Napanee in the first with a wrist shot that found the top corner of the net.

Averi Cole doubled the lead by launching a shot from just inside the blue line and into the back of the net.

Napanee’s defense was strong the entire game, limiting the Hurricane’s offense to hold on for the shutout.

-On Wednesday night the Napanee U15 BB Crunch also advanced to the Ontario championships, beating the Barrie Sharks 1-0 in overtime at the SPC.

Tori Gemmill had the game winner goal with assists from Dylan Trickey and Neeleigh-Raye Ford. Mikenna Ford earned the shutout for Napanee.

The U15 Crunch will be in Toronto this Saturday to face Stoney Creek. Puck drop is 12:30 p.m.
