Napanee’s U13 Stars came from behind twice this week to gain points in playoff action. At the SPC, facing Prince Edward County, they fell behind 2-1 early in the third, and played two men short for a time, but Bryson Wilson bailed them out with 16 seconds left to earn a 2-2 tie.

On Saturday, in Stirling, Ryder Bruce scored in the second frame, but the boys found themselves down 4-1 with 95 seconds left. Undaunted, Quinn McConnell found the net, and Maddux Hartwick put them within a goal with under a minute remaining. Hudson Conger would complete the comeback for a 4-4 tie with only 16 seconds on the clock.

-The U15 Stars continued their winning ways with a 2-0 shutout of Prince Edward County. After a scoreless first, Brock Boutilier tallied from Benn Kerr and Callen Wilson. Late in the third, Wyatt Albright would cement the victory with assistance from Devin Robinson and Luc Asselstine. Carter Cork was solid between the posts earning the shutout. Stirling will be at the SPC Saturday at 4:30.

-The U18 Stars had another decisive victory, this time 5-2 over Prince Edward County on Sunday. Down a goal in the second, Ty Kemp came in off the point to fire a bullet past the netminder. Luc Amat put them ahead to stay taking a pass from Zered Haller to score on the open side. Still in the second, on a similar play, Haller fed Amat who deked an outstretched goalie for the winner. Not finished yet, Jayden Holden would tally from in close. Jack Madden’s blast from the point was the icing on the cake. Goalie Aiden Vallier could not be faulted on either goal, and made some fine stops. The locals outshot the County 32-22. The boys are home to Stirling Monday at 7:30 p.m.
