Two people charged with weapons and drug offenses after warrants executed in Roblin and Kingston

Lennox and Addington OPP, in conjunction with Kingston Police, recovered these firearms while carrying out a warrant at houses in Roblin and Kingston.

The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit have been working jointly on a CDSA and firearms investigation.

On May 26 a search warrant was executed at an address on Holden Road in Roblin and another residence on Creekford Road in Kingston. Approximately 96 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 42 grams of suspected cocaine, 12 grams of suspected fentanyl, 14 oxycodone pills, and eight psilocybin capsules were seized. Additionally, five firearms, along with over 400 rounds of ammunition, brass knuckles, digital scales and cash were also seized.

A 42-year-old of Kingston was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – five counts
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm – five counts
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm- five counts
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose – one count
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 – one count
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to probation order – 19 counts

A 28-year-old of Kingston was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – five counts
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose – one count
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5000 – one count

The two accused were released from custody after being held for a bail hearing and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on a later date.
