Two students from Napanee District Secondary School were taken to hospital on Friday afternoon following a serious motor vehicle that occurred just outside the school.
A car and motorcycle collided in front of the school on Belleville Road. Both students have been taken to hospital, one student has sustained serious injuries. Ontario Provincial Police are currently at the school and will be investigating.
The lone driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital with major injuries. The lone driver of the motor vehicle was also transported to hospital with minor injuries. The OPP will be continuing with this ongoing investigation.
NDSS and the LDSB are working together to ensure students and staff are supported. Student support counsellors from LDSB Educational Services are on-site and available to students and staff.
