Never has inexperience reared its ugly head for the prime minister like it has in the past few months.
The chaos with the vaccine rollout, the appointment of a Governor-General without appropriate vetting, the WE charity mess along with several ethical fiascos, all point to a decided lack of experience and political acumen. Our prime minister struggles to solve challenges because he lacks experience in business, he lacks experience in decision-making, he lacks experience in crisis management, he lacks experience in transparency and he certainly lacks experience in meeting sound financial responsibilities.
The one saving grace is he must operate within a minority government, which does reduce his desire for more dictatorial approaches to decision making. “Sunny days” are now replaced with “Cloudy days”!
