Candidate signs popped up across Hastings-Lennox and Addington County yesterday, mere hours after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau officially announced Oct. 21 would be the date Canadians go to the polls in the 43rd federal election.

Members of Parliament will be voted on in 338 ridings across the country.

Locally, the current candidates running on the ballot are Conservative Derek Sloan, People’s Party of Canada’s Adam L. E. Gray, and the incumbent Mike Bossio of the Liberals.

The Green Party and New Democratic Party are both yet to finalize their Hastings-Lennox and Addington candidates.
