Three people charged with drug offences after warrant executed on Napanee’s Meadow Lane

Three people face drug trafficking charges after the Ontario Provincial Police seized drugs at a residence in Greater Napanee.

On May 15 the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a search warrant at an address on Meadow Lane in Greater Napanee. A quantity of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and benzodiazepine tablets were seized. Paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking, cell phones, and Canadian currency was also seized.

Barbara Norman, 40-years-old, and Rebecca Norman-Hill, 21-years-old, both of Napanee, and Kaila Peets, 39-years-old, of Amherstview, were arrested and charged with:

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine

Norman-Hill was also charged with:

·      Fail to comply with probation order – three counts

Norman was also charged with:

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs

·      Fail to comply with probation order

This accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The other two accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on July 2, 2024.
