The family of the late Allan Oliver wishes to sincerely thank our family and friends who expressed love and support to us during the most difficult days before and after Allan’s passing. Thank you to those who lifted us up in prayer, reached out through phone calls, text messages, emails, cards, and for the care packages, flowers, delicious snacks and beautiful meals delivered to our homes and to us at Allan’s bedside. We were blessed by so many who attended the visitation and funeral service to remember Allan and offer support to our family. Our sincerest thank you to Rev. Bert McCutcheon and Rev. Brock MacDonald for conducting the service, Dawn McCutcheon for providing the beautiful music, Richard & Arlene Woods for singing Allan’s favourite hymn and Duane Ford who offered lovely words of tribute. Thank you to dear family friends for the beautiful meal provided between visitations, and Morningstar Mission for the wonderful luncheon following the funeral. We are overwhelmed by the generous donations given to Morningstar Mission and the Gideons in memory of Allan, both organizations that were so important to Allan over the years. Also, thank you for the floral arrangements, memorial gifts of tree planting, as well as the gifts to honour Allan with flower gardens, all that speak to his love for gardening. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Friendly Manor for the excellent care given to Allan during his short time there and the kindness and support extended to us. You all made him feel very special. We feel his loss today. He was a faithful and loving husband to Arlene, amazing and supportive father to Susan and Talbot, Myrna, Donna and Joe, and the best Papa to Brandon and Jorden, Andrew, Alex (Summer), Spencer and Foster. Thank you everyone for the generous outpouring of love and support over these past several weeks as we grieve and learn how to live life without him. The Oliver family will remember your kindness forever. May God bless you all.
