Summer fun continues all August long at the Macpherson House

The Macpherson House has once again become a hub of activity for the community this summer. A busy line-up of free drop in activities, musical performances, and theatre will continue all throughout August. Guided tours ($3) are also available every Wednesday in August from 1 – 4pm.

There will be six more free “Demo Day” events covering a variety of topics suitable for children and adults. Children’s theatre will feature Applefun Puppertry (Aug. 2) and the return of Dufflebag Theatre (Aug. 18). The highly anticipated performance of King Henry Five by Driftwood Theatre will take place on Aug. 11. The evening concert series will conclude with Django’s Kitchen (Aug. 16).

  • August 9, 2pm | Demo Day: Grape Vine Wreaths (Irish Flower Girl) – FREE
  • August 11, 2pm | Demo Day: History of Picnics (Lindy Mechevsky) – FREE
  • August 11, 7pm | Under the Stars: Driftwood Theatre’s King Henry Five – Pay What You Can
  • August 16, 2pm | Demo Day: Crafted Friends (Pineapple Toolbox) – FREE
  • August 16, 7pm | Under the Stars: Django’s Kitchen – $3
  • August 18, 2pm | Children’s Theatre: Snow White (Dufflebag Theatre) – $3
  • August 23, 2pm | Demo Day: Pottery Workshop (Linda Fraser) – FREE
  • August 25, 2pm | Demo Day: Leaf Art (Linda Fraser) – FREE

Visitors are asked to bring their own lawn chairs to the musical and theatrical performances. Detailed information about the Macpherson House events listed are available at www.CountyMuseum.ca.
