Stars Report: Four goal effort from Ben Kerr lifts U13 Stars to 7-4 win over Campbellford

The Napanee Desjardin Insurance U-13 Stars maintained their perfect record with a 7-4 win over Campbellford. Ahead 4-1 after two periods, the Colts made it close at 5-4 before the Stars closed it out. Ben Kerr had a career day with four goals, while Coulton Lockridge, Liam Mulder, and Oliver Kimmett chipped in singles.

The U-15s were three-for-three after a busy weekend. Carter Slaven had four tallies in an 8-1 win in Madoc over Centre Hastings. Saturday at home, they dominated Stirling 11-0. Tie Wood got the winner in the third minute of the first period. The play of the day was a neat passing play, Blake Wood to Wood, and the goal by Sam McCaw. They dumped Norwood 8-1 to complete their solid weekend.

In other action, the U-11s were outstanding in their home-and-home with Lakefield, winning 17-0 and 15-1. The U-18s controlled Douro 5-2 on Goodyear ice on Saturday. The U-13 AE squad got by their hosts, Douro, winning 4-3 on Friday. In Brighton they were thumped 19-1.
