The Social Services Relief Fund (SSRF) is now available to access within Prince Edward & Lennox & Addington Counties.
Administered locally by Prince Edward-Lennox and Addington Social Services (PELASS), the SSRF is a new investment by the Ontario government to help protect the health and safety of the province’s most vulnerable people, through assistance to individuals and to frontline agencies. This Fund was announced on March 23, 2020 and is a shared initiative between the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.
This funding is available to support:
- Organizations that administer social services in their response to the COVID-19 crisis;
- Individuals for those in financial crisis with no access to other supports; and
- Individuals currently on social assistance requiring additional resources.
To see if you qualify for this assistance please complete a form available at http://www.PELASS.org. Those that apply will be directly contacted by a representative to determine eligibility after completing the application form.
