Six new COVID-19 cases reported in KFLA on Wednesday, six VOC identified

KFLA Public Health saw six new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday and six previous cases were identified as variants of concern (VOC).

The latest cases involve: two females in their 20s, close contact, two females in their 20s, under investigation, a male in his 20s, under investigation and a male in his 50s, under investigation.

Five cases have been resolved, bringing the active case count in the region to 95.

Since the start of the pandemic KFLA has reported 874 cases, 778 have been resolved with one death. Currently there is no one listed as requiring a stay in the hospital due to COVID-19.

The region remains under ‘yellow’ protect community status.
