SHILLINGTON, Lavern Neil
Passed away at Providence Care Hospital on Thursday, January 4th, 2024, at the age of 87, surrounded by his loved ones. Beloved husband of Marina (nee Leslie), and loving father of Murray (late Wanda), Angela (Steve) Biggs, Donna (Mike) Benedikt, and Stacey (Ray) Armsworthy. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jennifer (Braden), David, Kevin (Melissa), Kendra, Michelle (Cody), Melissa (Jay), Meghan (Adam), Madison, Benjamin and his 11 great grandchildren. Survived by his siblings Ken (Cathie), Clifford (Pat), Della, Ray (Moyra), and Ruth (David). Brother in-law to Penny (Steve), Emily (David), late David (June) and late Barbara. Predeceased by his parents William and Leona Shillington, and brother Ralph (Fern), sister in-law Helen and in-laws Lionel and Viola. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special thanks to the staff on Lakeview 2 of Providence Care Hospital for their excellent care of Lavern.
Visitation will be held at the Wartman Funeral Home – Kingston on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10:30 am. You are welcome to watch the service on Zoom, Register under service details on his obit page.
