Napanee’s Trinity United Church will welcome Seventh Town to their stage April 28 at 2:30 p.m.

The Celtic folk band includes guitar, fiddle, bass and whistle performing reels, tunes and jigs. The show will be the latest of in the Trinity Presents concert series.

“It’s an interesting mix of music, Scottish, Irish, Canadian traditional,” said Trinity Presents organizer Helen Richards of the band. “It’s great fun to listen to.”

Trinity Presents is a twice a year event which includes one live musical performance every spring and one guest speaker event in the fall. The series was launched in 2019 as a way to engage with the community while showcasing the historical church.

“It’s a wonderful venue,” said Richards. “The sound is wonderful, the space is perfect. we’re very fortunate to have it at our disposal.”

“Both at the concerts in the spring and the healthy living talks that we offer in the fall, we’ve had really good turn outs,” added Richards. “It provides people with the information, especially with the health living programs, that they might not have access to. We try to vary what they are.”

Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for students and free for anyone under the age of 12. They are available at Gray’s IDA, Marie’s Place or at the door the day of the event. Money raised supports the general fund of the church.
