Second death due to COVID-19 reported in KFLA by Public Health

KFLA Public Health reported a death due to COVID-19 on Sunday.

This marks the second death attributed to the virus since the start of the pandemic.

The local health unit also reported 17 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. They involve two females under the age of 10, close contact (cc), a female under the age of 10, under invest (UI), a female age 18-29, CC, two females in their 30s, CC, a female in her 40s, UI, a female in her 50s, CC (health care worker), a female in her 60s, UI,  a male age 10-17, CC, three males age 18-29, CC, a male age 18-29, UI, two males in their 40s, CC / UI, a male in his 60s, UI.

There are now 135 active cases in the region. Five new recoveries were reported. Twenty previous cases were identified as variants of concern. There are currently two KFLA residents in a Kingston hospital due to COVID-19.
