Napanee’s Salvation Army is seeking recipes to fill the pages of a fundraising cookbook they’ll be selling later this fall.

“We were looking for a new fundraiser to engage the community as well as promote the Salvation Army and raise funds for the local Food Bank,” explains Dana Henry, community and family services co-ordinator for the Napanee Salvation Army.

They hope to have the books, which will sell for $12 each, out by October. Before that, they’re seeking input from the public for any of their favourite recipes to be included within the book.

“We are looking for all sorts of recipes, slow cooker ideas, casseroles, kid friendly recipes, desserts, special diet meals, side dishes, breakfast meals,” said Henry.

People can submit their recipes to dana_henry@can.salvationarmy.org.

The locations of where the books will be sold is still being worked out, but anyone interested in obtaining a copy can contact the Salvation Army at 613-354-7633. Any business owners interested in selling the books can also contact the Salvation Army.
