Salvation Army Napanee's 2019 Christmas Kettle Campaign officially kicked off Friday. Members of Peter Boyer Chevrolet, GM, Buick Napanee joined Abby Mills of the Salvation Army to officially mark the launch. Peter Boyer made a $500 donation to start the campaign and pledged to match the total raised in the kettle that will be placed inside the dealership. Along with Boyer, a kettle will be set up at Walmart, Canadian Tire, Metro, Country Traditions, Home Hardware and the LCBO. This year's goal is to raise $60,000, with the proceeds going to the Salvation Army's programs throughout the year. Anyone interested in volunteering at a kettle location can call 613-329-6139. The campaign runs until Dec. 24. Photo by Adam Prudhomme.
