RUSHWORTH, Barbara Anne (Blizzard)
April 29, 1941 – December 15, 2023
In loving memory of Barbara Anne Rushworth (Blizzard), whose radiant spirit touched the lives of many, we celebrate a life filled with boundless love, laughter, and enduring kindness.
Barbara, a cherished wife to the late John William Rushworth, devoted her days to the joy of family and the warmth of her loved ones. Her sudden passing on December 15th leaves a void that cannot be filled, yet her legacy of love remains etched in our hearts.
A beacon of generosity and compassion, Barbara’s life was a testament to unwavering kindness.
Her laughter echoed through the halls, her smiles lit up every room, and her genuine curiosity welcomed all with open arms. From endless Saturday morning gatherings to spirited card games over cups of tea, she revelled in the embrace of family and her beloved friend, Marg.
Barbara leaves a legacy of love and devotion in her son and three daughters, Randy (Karen), Angela (Michael), Karen, and Lisa (Richard). Her presence will be dearly missed by her 14 grandkids, Krystal, Brandon, Karson, Logan, Karlena, Mathew, Jaime, Jenna, Sarah, Lacey, Jennifer, Tyler, Jessica, and Nicholas and her 12 great-grandchildren who were the light of her life. Barbara is survived by her sister Deanna (Jarvis ) Ducy, predeceased by her brother Harold (Shirley) and Robert Blizzard, sisters Arlene Boudreau (Jim), Ruth Sonier and Lois (Bill) Reid (recently).
We find solace in knowing that Barbara is reunited with her beloved John and other departed loved ones.
Her signature phrase, “I love you this much,” remains in our memories, reminding us of the depth of her love.
In honour of Barbara’s memory, the family kindly requests donations to the Salvation Army in lieu of flowers. May her legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
The family is planning a Celebration of life at a later date in Spring 2024, details will be shared via Facebook or any other communication channels closer to the event.
