ROGERS, Ivan

Ivan Rogers, age 84, passed away on November 2, 2023 in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Today we say thank you for all that you gave us as dad, grandpa, teacher and coach.
Ivan was born on June 24, 1939 to Herman Ervin Rogers and Luva Lottie (Howse) Rogers in Eaton Corner, Quebec. He spent his early childhood in a rural part of the Eastern Townships of Quebec before moving with his family to St. Catharines, Ontario. He was an avid genealogist who also loved to grow things, collect antiques and be in nature. Ivan received a degree from McMaster University and had a long teaching career, primarily at Napanee District Secondary School.
Ivan is survived by his spouse, Kimberley (Mason) Rogers, his three children, Andrew, Jeremy, and Delight, and by his siblings Joyce (Rogers) Cutler and Gail (Rogers) Moser. His older brother Vern Rogers passed in 2022. Ivan was also survived by seven grandchildren, Brittany, Ethan, Jesse, Zoë, Savannah, Emme and Elsen.
Ivan Rogers will be remembered for his humour and kindness; his help, guidance, and wisdom; and the joy that he found in the simple things. He touched the lives of many as a teacher, guidance counsellor and coach.
A celebration of life will take place for all who would like to attend and pay their respects. Details of this events have yet to be confirmed.
