Showing no sign of fatigue after playing three games in three nights, the Napanee Raiders thumped the Frankford Huskies 10-3 the road Saturday night.

The lopsided victory made for a clean sweep of their three game swing as they doubled up the Picton Pirates 6-3 on the road Thursday night before squeaking out a 2-1 overtime win over the Port Hope Panthers on Friday night on home ice.

Despite Saturday’s final, the Raiders held just a 4-3 lead at the midway mark of the game. They then rattled off six unanswered, including four in the final half of the second period, to put the game on ice. Ben Carter notched a hat trick for the visitors while Cameron Krupa chipped in with two goals. Adam Nuttall, Blake Aylesworth, Christos Chronis and Cole Campbell all had singles. Bailey Maracle earned the win with 28 saves.

The previous night goals were much tougher to come by as the Raiders welcomed the Panthers to the SPC.

Port Hope’s Tyler McGarvey got the visitors on the board at the 10:52 mark of the first. That goal stood until the opening seconds of the third when Napanee’s Beckett Palmer-Stephen banged home the equalizer.

After regulation time solved nothing, the two sides went to a three-on-three overtime where Aylesworth played the role of hero, sending the home crowd happy with the game winner at 2:52.

Maracle earned the win with 28 saves. Sam Dingle took the tough luck loss, stopping 48 saves for the Panthers.

On Thursday night the Raiders rallied from a 3-2 deficit heading into the third period with four unanswered to steal the 6-3 win. Noah Westwater, Rheydan McCoy, Nicholas Goosney, Ben White, Palmer-Stephen and Maverick Labrie all scored for the Raiders.

Alex Zamuner earned the win between the pipes for Napanee, turning away 42 shots.

The three wins keep the Raiders perfect, now 6-0 on the season. They’ll look to remain unbeaten when they welcome the Amherstview Jets to the SPC on Friday night. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m. On Saturday they’re on the road to visit the Panthers at the Jack Burger Sports Complex. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Napanee has the early lead in the East Todd Division with 12 points, four ahead of the 4-2 Jets (eight). The Pirates are 1-2 on the year, tied with the 1-4 Huskies for third. The Panthers are still winless on the year in three games, but do have a point by virtue of Friday’s overtime loss. The Campbellford Rebels are winless in their lone game played so far.
