The Napanee Raider offense found life in the nick of time on Friday night at the SPC, scoring three times in the third period to defeat the Picton Pirates 3-1 in Game 3 of the Eastern Tod quarter-finals.

Christos Chronis, Connor Brooks and Blake Aylesworth each scored for Napanee in the third. Chronis tied the game just over five minutes into the third and Brooks gave them the lead at the 12:41 mark. Aylesworth sealed it with an empty net.

Reese Kleinsteuber scored Picton’s lone goal in the second at 8:48.

Logan Vale made 22 saves for the win while Nick McGrayne took the loss, turning away 35 pucks.

With the win the Raiders take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 4 will go Sunday night in Picton at 7:30 p.m.

A win in that game would set the Raiders up with an opportunity to close out the series on home ice Tuesday night starting at 8 p.m.
