Raiders pick up two more wins in exhibition match with Picton

It was another sweep success for the Napanee Raiders on Friday night at the SPC, winning both games of their exhibition bubble series against the Picton Pirates.

The Raiders skated to a 5-3 victory in the first game, which was Game 3 overall in the series, followed immediately after with a 5-1 win in Game 4.

Ben White notched a pair of goals in Game 3 while Aidan Johnson, Devon King and Logan White had singles. Mitch Bown picked up the win.

In the second game of the night Ben White, Curtis Marrison, Beckett Palmer-Stephen, Mav Labrie and Cam Krupa all found the back of the net. Bailey Maracle was between the pipes for the home team.

As with every game played in the last year, the two teams played under modified rules. The games were split into mini matches to allow for more players to see the ice while still adhering to social distancing guidelines. No fans were allowed to attend, though the game was streamed on the Raiders’ Facebook page.

The two clubs will wrap up their six game exhibition series on Friday, once again at the SPC. Napanee will be going for the clean sweep after taking the first four games.
