Christmas came early for the Napanee Raiders, as they had the chance to pad their stats in a 10-1 road victory over the Campbellford Rebels on Tuesday night.
Cameron Krupa and Nicholas Goosney each lit the lamp twice for the visitors while Marshall McFarland, Adam Nuttall, Christos Chronis, Cole Campbell and Noah Westwater each had one.

Campbellford’s Kleighton Grove had his team’s lone goal of the game, scoring at 12:55 in the first period. That goal cut the Raiders’ lead to just 2-1 at the time, but things quickly got out of hand from there. Napanee added three more in the second and four more in the third to wrap up the lopsided win.

Though Napanee’s offense had the vast majority of the chances, the Rebels did manage to fire 31 shots at Napanee keeper Alex Zamuner, who was there to turn away 30 of those attempts. Campbellford’s Noah Baker meanwhile saw 56 pucks, stopping 46.

All 10 of the goals came at even strength, as Napanee was 0-2 on the power-play. The Rebels meanwhile had no chances with the man-advantage.

Napanee will now enjoy a holiday break, returning to action on Jan. 5 when they travel to Picton. On Jan. 6 they’re back home to face the Frankford Huskies at the SPC. Both games get underway at 7:30 p.m. When action resumes the Raiders will have 15 games left in the regular season, which runs until Feb. 25.
