Raiders best Panthers in thrilling 2-1 victory

Ryan Casselman potted the go ahead goal at the 6:10 mark of the third as the Napanee Raiders held on for a 2-1 victory over the Port Hope Panthers tonight at the SPC.

Riley Steeves put Napanee on the board with a power-play goal in the first and Graham Dickerson responded early in the second for the Panthers.

Napanee’s Nicholas Nabuurs was sensational in net, stopping 37 shots. He was just a bit better than Port Hope’s Tyler Masternais, who turned away 37 of 39.

The win was Napanee’s 11th straight on the year to move to 11-1. The Raiders will hit the road Sunday to face Amherstview at 7:30 p.m.
