The Napanee Raiders added another local face to their roster, announcing a deal with Spencer Cranley.

The 17-year-old Napanee native played for his hometown U18 Napanee Stars, as well as suiting up for the NDSS Golden Hawks in KASSAA league play.

“(Cranley is a) prolific scorer with strong hockey sense and awareness in all three zones,” reads a release from the Raiders. “He’ll be a great addition to our attack this year.”

He’ll line up as a forward for the Raiders for the upcoming Junior C hockey season.

Goaltender Logan Vale was also added to the team’s roster, following two years of playing an AP with the Raiders.

The 18-year-old Trenton resident helped the Greater Kingston Hockey Association U18 Gaels to a berth in the OMHA championships last season.

More spots are expected to be filled in the coming days as the Raiders host their main camp, starting Aug. 25 from 7 to 8:20 p.m. Additional dates will take place Aug. 27, 29 and 31.
