There will be an Emergency Full Night Mainline Closure of Highway 49 at the Bay of Quinte Skyway Bridge from 9 p.m. tonight (Tues. Aug 23) to 6 a.m. (Wed. August 24).
This closure is intended for the repairs of the south abutment deck panels. During these time periods the highway will be closed, and no traffic will be permitted to pass over the bridge.
Please refer to the following website for the Glenora Ferry as an alternative route: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/ontario-511/ferries.shtml. Emergency Services are kindly requested to follow the protocol outlined with Aecon should they be required to cross the bridge during these times.
