Regarding council’s proposal to increase taxes to include the cost of garbage bag tags: Our household is acutely aware of our responsibility to reduce, recycle, compost to benefit the environment and uses 6-8 tags per year.So, please council, I do not want, need or would like to pay for more than that. Penalizing people who are making an effort to reduce their negative impact on the planet lacks awareness and foresight.Patti Smith
