It is with great sadness that the family of Elmer Prang announces his passing at the age of 95, on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital in Napanee Ontario surrounded by family. Loving husband of the late June Prang (nee TerMarsch), he will be remembered by his son Calvin Prang (Judy) of Bath ON and daughter Cheryl Porteous (Bill) of Sarnia. Cherished Grandfather of: Casey Porteous (Krista), Kristin Scott (Sam Biggs), Colleen Saunders-Cartier (Troy), and Crystal Jodouin (Robert, deceased) Billy Porteous (Courtney Phillips). Great Grandfather of: Grady Falcon, Morgan Porteous, Garrett Yeates (deceased), Rebekah Moor (Brandon), Jack Yeates, Justin Porteous (Chloe Busby), Maddison Porteous, Logan Yeates, Harmonie Porteous, Joshua Jodouin, Meeghan Porteous, Chase Porteous, Kyle Phillips, Jacob Phillips, Lily Saunders, Olivia Yeates, Finn Saunders and Campbell Phillips. Great-Great Grandfather of Brooklyn and Kaia Porteous. Elmer is predeceased by all of his siblings: sisters Mabel, Helen, Florence, Nora and Ella, and brothers, Gordon, Willard and Alvin. Mourned by sisters-in-law May Prange, Heather Pearson (Glenn), and families.
Puppy enjoyed 60 plus years with Nanny, mostly at Lake Dore. He had many jobs throughout his lifetime, but found his joy in baking, gardening and in their active involvement and worship at Calvin United Church, Pembroke. All those pies and shortbread cookies will never be forgotten!
Aquamation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wartman Funeral Home, Napanee. According to Elmer’s wishes, a family celebration of life will be held at a future date. If desired, donations in memory of Elmer may be made to the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital ICCU or a charity of your choice.
