On Jan. 13 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP observed an unsafe vehicle, heavily loaded down, travelling westbound on Highway 401 in Tyendinaga Township.
Police stopped the vehicle and determined that the driver was suspended and was carrying a large quantity of alcohol. Officers seized 58 cases of beer.
L&A County OPP has charged a 33 year old male from North York, Ontario with:
- Drive while under suspension contrary
- Operate unsafe vehicle
- Unlawfully keeping liquor for sale
The drive was issued a summons to attend court in Greater Napanee on March 4.
