Police seek public’s assistance to identify driver who damaged fence at Quinte Detention

The Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for damaging the fence at the Quinte Regional Detention Centre fence.

At approximately 1:27 p.m. on Nov. 24, police responded to a report of a vehicle that had just crashed into the fence at the Quinte Regional Detention Centre. The vehicle was a black truck driven by a male described as, a white male, salt and pepper hair, early 40’s, wearing a grey sweater and jeans, 6ft tall, skinny build. The vehicle was able to drive out from the ditch and fence and left the scene traveling westbound on Richmond Blvd. The vehicle will have damage to the front and passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle will be missing the passenger-side mirror. Police are looking for anyone with home security video or vehicle video that may have captured the incident.
