Police seek hit and run suspect involving cyclist in Napanee

Lennox and Addington OPP are seeking information on a hit and run involving a vehicle and cyclist on Tuesday evening.

The incident took place around 5:30 p.m. on the corner of Thomas Street and John Street in Greater Napanee.

The driver of the vehicle was turning left onto John Street from Thomas Street and failed to obey the stop sign, striking a cyclist on the roadway knocking him to the ground. The driver then backed his vehicle into a utility post breaking his passenger side tail light. The driver got out to ask if the cyclist was injured then drove off prior to police arrival. The cyclist suffered minor injuries.

The vehicle is described as an older model black or dark blue sedan possibly a Honda or Toyota. The vehicle will have a broken passenger side tail light. The male driver was described as a male in his 20s with a tall thin build.
