A report of remains being found in a bag in Odessa turned out to be no cause for concern.
Officers with the Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report of remains found in a bag in the village of Odessa on June 11.
The Ontario Provincial Police Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene, and there was a police presence in the area of new homes being constructed in the area south of Main Street.
The office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario along with a forensic anthropologist have positively identified the remains as being an animal. There is no cause for concern.
