Just after 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 14, officers of the Lennox & Addington OPP and other emergency crews responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on County Road 7, near Withers Road in Loyalist Township.
L&A County OPP and the OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) team closed County Road 7 for several hours to investigate the collision. A northbound car and southbound pickup truck collided in the southbound lane. Both drivers were taken to hospital by Lennox and Addington County Paramedics.
The driver of the pickup truck was treated and released from hospital. The driver of the car remains in hospital with life threatening injuries. The road re-opened later in the day and the investigation is ongoing.
