Just after noon officers of the Lennox and Addington County OPP as well as Loyalist Fire Department and Lennox and Addington EMS responded to a report of a head on fatal motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles.
L&A County OPP are currently on scene investigating and County Road 2 in Loyalist Township has been closed for further investigation. County Road 2 is closed between Fairbanks Street and Neil Road and a detour has been set in place by officers at scene.
As a result of the collision one driver is deceased at the scene, another driver has been taken to hospital with injuries and the third driver was uninjured.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld until notifications to family have been made. An update will be release at a later time.
