On May 20, 2021 at approximately 11 p.m. officers of the Lennox & Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and other emergency crews responded to a report a collision on Deer Rock Lake Road north of Freeburn Road in Addington Highlands Township.
A side-by-side all-terrain vehicle (ATV) lost control and the driver was ejected when it struck a ditch. The 54 year-old driver was transported to hospital with serious injuries by paramedics. The OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) and the OPP Collision Reconstructionist team attended the scene to assist in the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing by L&A County OPP and charges are pending.
