Yesterday just after noon officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP as well as Loyalist Fire Department and Lennox and Addington EMS responded to a report of a head on fatal motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles.
The identity of the deceased is now said to be Daniel James Kelly, age 53 of Odessa, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of another car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries while a third was uninjured.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) were called to assist with the investigation. County Road 2 in Loyalist Township was closed while police were investigating. The road re-opened shortly after 8 p.m. The investigation remains ongoing by L&A County OPP.
